SENTINEL LITERARY QUARTERLY POETRY AND SHORT STORY COMPETITIONS (JULY 2012)
The
poetry competition for this quarter is judged by Will Daunt, author
of five poetry books including Running Out of England and
Powerless. Total Prize fund as usual is £305.00 (£150, £75,
£50, and 3 x £10 for High Commendation.) Entry fees from £3 per
poem.

We
are delighted to announce that this quarter's short story
competition will be judged by Rosemary Dun, an associate lecturer of
creative writing at the Open University and author of
Lorelei Gets It On, and Born
Lippy. Total prize fun is £305.00 (£150, £75, £50, and 3 x £10
for High Commendation.) Entry fees from £4 per story.

The Short Story Competition for this quarter is judged by Dr Kate Horsley, an award-winning author and Creative Writing lecturer at Lancaster University. Total prize fund of £305.00 plus publishing opportunity.
The Poetry Competition for this quarter is judged by Miles Cain, an award-winning author The Border and a visiting Creative Writing lecturer at Leeds Trinity University College. Total prize fund of £305.00 plus publishing opportunity.

SENTINEL LITERARY QUARTERLY POETRY
& SHORT STORY COMPETITIONS
These ongoing competitions are run in January, April, July and
October every year. The poetry competitions have been going on
every 3 months since July 2009. The short story competitions have
been held quarterly since January 2010.

First Prize: £150.00
Second Prize: £75.00
Third Prize: £50.00
High Commendation: £10 x 3
All winning and commended poems and short stories receive first publication in Sentinel Champions magazine in print and eBook.
